袁博平博士
袁博平博士是英国剑桥大学汉语及语言学荣休教授，现任上海交通大学特聘教授，剑桥大学博士生导师，剑桥大学丘吉尔学院院士。他的研究兴趣包括理论语言学框架下的二语和多语习得及双语与人类健康。他在国际主流学术刊物和中国重要学术刊物发表过八十余篇论文，编撰两部英汉-汉英词典（牛津大学出版社），他的专著Interlanguage Grammars of Mandarin Chinese 即将由剑桥大学出版社出版。
袁博士是世界汉语教学学会理事会的常务理事，世界汉语教学学会语言理论与语言教育研究分会副理事长，他还担任国际期刊 Journal of Second Language Studies (John Benjamins) 主编，同时担任若干国内、国际学术刊物的编委，其中包括Second Language Research，International Review of Applied Linguistics，Lingua，International Journal of Chinese Linguistics,《外语教学与研究》，《世界汉语教学》，《现代外语》等。
自新加坡华文教研中心成立以来，袁博平博士一直担任中心的国际学术咨询专家，以及《华文学刊》的学刊顾问和中心多个研究项目计划书的海外评审。他多次参加中心主办的国际研讨会并发表主题演讲，为本地华文教育和研究工作者提供教学和研究指导。
Dr. Yuan Boping
Dr. Yuan Boping is Professor Emeritus in Chinese and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. Currently, he is Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a PhD supervisor of at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge. His research interests include linguistic approaches to second language acquisition, bilingualism, multilingualism, particularly within the framework of formal linguistics, bilingualism and human wellbeing. Dr. Yuan has published over eighty articles in refereed international journals as well as in influential journals published in China. He compiled two English-Chinese and Chinese-English dictionaries, which were published by Oxford University Press. His forthcoming book Interlanguage Grammars of Mandarin Chinese is going to be published by the Cambridge University Press soon.
Dr. Yuan serves as an executive committee member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching (ISCLT) and the vice chairman of the Branch of Language Theory and Language Education Research in ISCLT. He is also the General Editor of Journal of Second Language Studies (published by John Benjamins), and the member of Editorial Board of several international academic journals, including Second Language Research, International Review of Applied Linguistics, Lingua, International Journal of Chinese Linguistics, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Chinese Teaching in the World, and Modern Foreign Languages.
Since the establishment of the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), Dr. Yuan Boping has served as a member of SCCL’s International Academic Advisory Panel. He is also an advisory board member for the Journal of Chinese Language Education, the prestigious academic journal published in SCCL. Dr Yuan has also been involved in overseas review of various research project proposals for the centre. He has been invited to the international conference organized by the centre for several times and delivered keynote speeches, providing guidance to Chinese language teaching and research in Singapore.
